Why we start from a dossier

The credibility of a political organisation is not judged by its promises but by whether it knows what it is talking about. Institutional Refoundation has at its core knowledge of the state from the inside: a written testimony from 1991, public documents and a path of decades at the top of the security services.

The book describes the vested interests not as an external threat but as a mechanism that nests inside the state. The answer it proposes — rules that bind every power — is the same one that runs today through the political programme and the Memorandum.

Knowledge of the state is the first precondition for changing it.

Evidence

Public documents from the path

The following documents concern Giorgos Klideris himself and document his path. The scanned copies are published gradually; here we describe what each one is and what it proves.

Confidential document

Gendarmerie Headquarters, 28 August 1968

A proposal to transfer Second Lieutenant Klideris, with an explicit reference to “centre-left” views and an order to place him under surveillance.

Proves: persecution for his democratic convictions under the Dictatorship.

Telegrams

Thousands of officers to the Prime Minister, November 1984

Collective telegrams of protest against the anonymous slanderous attack on him, from units across the country.

Proves: broad support from the rank and file; the attack was seen as a set-up.

Application

Application for resignation, 2 May 1985

The text with which he himself requests his discharge, declaring an intention to enter politics, after his post was abolished.

Proves: he chose to leave; he was not dismissed for dishonesty.

Book

“In the Tentacles of the State Mafia”, Athens 1991

232 pages of written testimony on the workings of the state and the security services, by an officer who served at their top.

Proves: recorded, named knowledge of the state from the inside.

Testimony

Testimony to prosecutor D. Tsevas, 19 January 1990

A two-and-a-half-hour testimony in the context of a prosecutorial inquiry of the time.

Proves: he cooperated with the judiciary when summoned.

Appeal

Appeal against the discharge, 4 August 1990

An appeal against the May 1990 discharge decision, which he describes as a removal for political reasons.

Proves: the removal was not for a service offence.

Documentation note: the 1991 book also contains accounts referring to third parties and cases of the time. In the Dossier we present them as the author's historical testimony, not as established facts. The full text can be read in the PDF.

From the files to a unified programme

The same documentation logic runs through the political programme. The founding, institutional, economic, social and national texts are organised into eight themes, split into central and analytical chapters, and linked to related policies. The variants are merged into a single public page, while the originals are kept unchanged.

Every public chapter states a code, a theme, a level of analysis and its source files. Legal, fiscal or numerical points that need official verification remain on an open list and are not presented as data.
